The awards in the National Garden Festival’s Front Yard Contest were announced Wednesday in Riverside Park. From July 9 to July 13, 15 front yards along Crowley Avenue in Buffalo (bordering the Frederick Law Olmsted-designed Riverside Park) were transformed by professional landscapers, Master Gardeners of the Cornell Cooperative Extension and teams from the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, who donated their time and materials and competed to create the most impressive yards.
