Genesee County sets Master Gardener training; sign up by Aug. 24

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Genesee County will offer Master Gardener training this fall. Classes will be held from 5:45 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays from Sept. 5 through Nov. 14 at the Cooperative Extension office at 420 East Main St., Batavia. Fester update: It may be bigger than Morty ever was!

The corpse flower or Amorphophallus titanum, which gives off the smell of rotting flesh to attract pollinators, revved up its smell, but didn’t unfurl the way it did in 2014.
