
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County will hold its 2020 Master Gardeners Core Training Class.
Those who successfully complete the 50-hour course may apply to become a Master Gardener volunteer in Chautauqua County or Cattaraugus County.
Applications are due Friday, March 20. Class size is limited.

There is a program fee of $125 to help defray the cost of Master Gardener training materials and other expenses. This includes all class sessions and class materials.
The course will be held from May 4 to June 27 at the Jamestown campus of Jamestown Community College. Classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. through May and June, with additional required sessions every other Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon on May 6 and 20 and June 9 and 23.
Subjects to be covered include Diagnosing Plant Diseases/Problems, Sustainable Gardening, Intro to Insects, Perennials & Annuals, Native and Invasive Plants, Pruning, Soils and Fertilizers, Vegetable Gardening, Weeds, Pollinators, Nuisance Wildlife, and Woody Plant Materials.
