Thanksgiving centerpiece is first Make-it, Take-it project in holiday series

Make a fresh floral centerpiece for your own Thanksgiving table or to give as a gift in the first of the holiday sessions of the Make-it, Take-it workshops to be held at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave., Buffalo.

The cost for each workshop is $35 for Botanical Gardens members and $40 for non-members.

Take hand clippers or scissors as well as a large box in which to carry your project home.

The workshops will be held in the Administration Building.

The workshop details are:

  • The Fresh Thanksgiving arrangement workshop will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24. You’ll make a table centerpiece with fresh flowers.
  • The Fresh Conifer Wreath workshop will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.  You’ll  create a 12-inch to 16-inch wreath of fresh greens to grace the home or front door for the holidays.
  • The Fresh Holiday Arrangement workshop will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17.  Wow your holiday guests with a beautiful handmade fresh centerpiece.

A fourth workshop, the Decorated Boxwood Tree workshop scheduled for Dec. 5, is already sold out. Register for the others quickly so you don’t miss out!
