Enjoy the brilliant blooms—as well as the warm air!— at the Spring Flower Exhibit at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave., Buffalo.

With more than 30,000 blooming bulbs, the smell of the flowers will hit you the second the doors open. The colors are more vibrant than ever before with the help of some pleasant plant surprises such as hibiscus and orchids.

Also featured is a unique art installation, Chromatic Organics. These metal sculptures, twisted and turned into natural shapes, add even more color to the Spring Flower Exhibit. This is a must-see and often a tradition for many Western New Yorkers.

The Spring Flower Exhibit is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. now until April 15.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the door and prices are $16.50 for adults, $15 for seniors (62+) and students (13+ with ID), $9 for kids 3-12, and free for kids 2 and under, but they must have a ticket. Members of the Botanical Gardens are also free.

  1. Beautiful there now. They still have some orchids from the fabulous orchid show last month mixed in with the spring flowers. And their jade vine is in bloom!
