The publication is produced by the Master Gardeners of Cornell Cooperative Extension in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties.

  1. I have had lemon balm for years in my herb garden after first coming across it during a new property purchase. It is pretty hardy but you do need to keep it in check. You can use it in soap making. I use it in sun tea.

  2. I purchased the lemon balm years ago because my daughter is named Melissa,( the official name for lemon balm). It has grown everywhere. When you rub the leaf between your fingers you smell lemon.
