The Orchid Show at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens is always a favorite, with award-winning exhibits of orchids by members of the Niagara Frontier Orchid Society displayed throughout the Botanical Gardens and vendors selling orchids and supplies.
New this year is Orchids After Dark, where the plants and the various parts of the conservatory will be lit to provide a spectacular experience– a must-see spectacle for all plant lovers and photographers. (No tripods.)
Orchids After Dark will take place from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 4 and 5. Orchids After Dark is included with Gardens After Dark admission.
The daytime Orchid Show will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 5 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 6. The Orchid Show during the day is included with regular admission. (Note: The Botanical Gardens will be closed from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, March 4 to set up for Orchids After Dark.)
During both the daytime and After Dark, Bergen Water Gardens and Nursery and Oakwood Orchids will sell plants, artist Carol Koziol Clark will sell her floral watercolors, and the Niagara Frontier Orcid Society will sell supplies and raffle off orchids.
