Sales of tree and shrub seedlings are being held in Western New York. You can order from your county or through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC).
The sales have different ordering deadlines. The organizers suggest you order early to make sure the items you want are still in stock.
Some of the sales offer additional items, such as wildflower mixes.

School seedling program
Looking to meet Next Generation Science Standards in creative and engaging ways? Whether you’re a teacher, homeschool group or a club leader, DEC’s School Seedling Program from the Colonel William F. Fox Memorial Saratoga Tree Nursery can help.
New York schools and youth organizations can apply to receive 30-50 free tree or shrub seedlings to plant with their students, offering young people an up-close opportunity to participate in conservation while learning about trees and their ecosystem functions. Each school or organization may receive one order per year.
Apply online by March 31. If you need assistance, contact the Saratoga Tree Nursery.
Need some tree planting inspiration? Arbor Day is coming up on April 29 and a planting event is a great way to celebrate the many benefits trees provide us with.

I would like to order some tree and shrubs next year. How do I do that?
