Enjoy the color and aroma of spring flowers during the Spring Exhibit to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 20 through Sunday, April 18 at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave., Buffalo. The exhibit is included with admission.
The displays will include more than 22,000 spring bulbs.
A new plant to see in the exhibit this year is Pink Dandelions, a wildflower from central Asia that has a yellow center surrounded by pink petals. You can also buy Pink Dandelions in the Great Plant Sale in the Mini Pennies category.
The Spring Exhibit will look a bit different this year without the Mini 4-H Farm due to COVID-19, but the kids will love Flower Fest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 21. It’s included with admission.
Go on a scavenger hunt inside the Botanical Gardens to discover all types of beautiful flowers and to get a prize. Tiptoe through the flower gardens, talk with educators about different types of flowers and our pollinator friends from Hahn’s Honey Bees about the important relationship between bees and flowers. See animals from Prehistoric World. The Botanical Bunny will be onsite to wave hello and take photos from a safe distance. On your way out, grab an activity bag to go to continue the fun at home.
Don’t forget to check out Gardens After Dark: Spring Flowers on certain nights starting Friday, March 26.
