Volunteers are needed to help with the gardens at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, 3755 Tonawanda Creek Rd., Amherst.

The gardeners work from 9:30 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, weather permitting. They start in May and work through October.

You don’t have to be experienced; the group has Master Gardeners who are happy to share their knowledge. Please take your favorite hand tools.

  1. Claire, you can contact Rosalind to see if she has any other times when she needs help. See her contact information in the article. Also check out our Events page and look at the category “Volunteer Opportunity.” There are currently two groups that need people on Saturdays. The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens also uses volunteers on different days. Find more information about volunteering at the Botanical Gardens here. I hope that helps.

  2. But you do need to be retired. Any thing for those of us who still work full time?
