Gardeners from the Peace Bridge to Main Street and from Canalside to the Scajaquada can be part of the 2018 Garden Walk Buffalo.

May 15 is the deadline to sign up to share your garden on Garden Walk Buffalo. You can sign up online.

There is no contest and no prizes; the objective of the garden walk has always been to encourage neighborhood beautification and to promote community pride. Just fill out the registration form and your garden can become part of this event. The only requirement is that your garden be within the geographical boundaries of Garden Walk Buffalo– see frequently asked questions here.

Your garden doesn’t need to be perfect; no one’s ever is. Gardens range from large properties to a few square feet – it’s the diversity that makes this event a success.

You decide how much access to give visitors. If you want people to see only your front garden, that is up to you. On the registration form and on the lawn sign that will provided to you, you can indicate front, side and/or back gardens.

Garden Walk Buffalo will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 28 and 29.

It is the largest free garden tour in the country. In 2017, more than 400 residences and businesses throughout the West Side of Buffalo opened their creative urban gardens for tens of thousands of visitors from around the United States, Canada and abroad.

Garden Walk Buffalo is one of more than a dozen garden walks that will be held this year in Western New York. You can see all of the garden walks on our Events page.
