Whether you want to learn how to plant up a miniature garden or you want to have some fairy fun with the family, stop in to Mischler’s Mini Garden & Fairy Fest on Friday or Saturday, June 23 and 24, at Mischler’s Florist and Greenhouses, 118 South Forest Rd., Williamsville.

There will be activities between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day for children as well as adults.

Mischler’s creative staff will present a brief explanation and demonstration of how to design and build a miniature gardening at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. each day. The demonstration is free.

Afterward, you will have an opportunity to build your own dish garden. You pay for the container, plants and accessories that you choose. You also get a 10 percent discount on items in the Fairy Nook.

You can build your dish garden right at Mischler’s. If you spill a bit of potting soil, the staff will clean up! (Consider entering your creation in the Williamsville Garden Walk’s Tiny Garden Contest on Saturday, July 15. Anyone may enter for free.)

Activities specifically for children during the Mini Garden & Fairy Fest include listening to a story about fairy houses at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. After the story, Mischler’s staff will help you build a house of natural materials in one of the outdoor gardens. This is free.

Reservations are suggested but not necessary. To register, call 632-1290.
