The deadlines to register to share your garden are coming up for several garden walks.
Don’t be afraid of signing up to share your landscape. Yes, garden walks have lavish gardens, but they also have small gardens, evolving gardens, quirky gardens, vegetable gardens, low-maintenance gardens, organic gardens, gardens around kids’ swing sets, gardens on balconies — that’s what makes it fun! The gardens reflect many different lifestyles and personalities and spaces.
Here are deadlines for some garden walks:
- Amherst Garden Walk: Sunday, June 25 is the deadline to register. Register online here.The Amherst Garden Walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 8.
- Samuel P. Capen Garden Walk: Tuesday, June 20 is the deadline for applications. Get information about participating here and register online here. The walk will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 15. The walk will feature a night tour called Capen by Night from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday as well.
- Grand Island Garden Walk: Applications are due Thursday, June 1. Download a mail-in application here. The walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 9.
- Hamburg Garden Walk: Applications are due Thursday, June 15. Find a form to be mailed in here. The walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9 in the Village of Hamburg.
- Ken-Ton Garden Tour: The application deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, June 9. You can sign up online here. The Ken-Ton Garden Tour will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23. The walk will also feature the Night Lights evening tour from 8:30 to 11 p.m. Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22.
- Lancaster Garden Walk: Thursday, June 1 the deadline to sign up your garden. Get the mail-in application here. There will be a night showing from 8:45 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. Friday, July 14. The daytime walks will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 15 and Sunday, July 16.
- Garden Walk of Niagara Falls, USA: The application deadline is Thursday, June 15. Get the application form here. The walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 15.
- Parkside Garden Tour: Applications are due Friday, June 16. Register online here. The garden walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 25.
- Riverside Tour of Gardens: Applications are due Monday, June 12. Get the registration form here; you mail or fax it back. The walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5. There will also be a Starry Night tour offered from 8 to 10 p.m.
- Scene Garden Walk (Springville): Applications are due Saturday, June 10. Entry forms are available at the SCENe Office at the Concord Senior Center, 40 Commerce Dr., Springville or by calling 770-7277. The walk will be held Saturday, July 8.
- South Buffalo Alive: The deadline is Saturday, July 1. Contact Marg Ryan at 826-3158. The walk will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 16.
- City of Tonawanda Garden Walk: The application deadline is Thursday, June 1 and applications are limited to the first 100. Apply online here. The walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 15. The walk will also feature a Friday Night Lights walk from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, July 14.
- Village of Williamsville Garden Walk: Saturday, July 1 is the deadline to sign up. Get the mail-in registration form here. The walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 15.
- West Seneca Garden Walk: The deadline to register is Saturday, June 20. To register, contact Sharon Pulinski at sharonpulinski@yahoo.com or 824-3995. The walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23.
