Garden walks in Lancaster & Ken-Ton are seeking gardeners; Hamburg wants vendors, too

The garden walks in Lancaster and Ken-Ton are looking to sign up gardeners who want their gardens listed on this year’s event, and Hamburg is looking to sign up vendors as well as gardeners.

As we told you previously, Sunday, May 15 is the deadline to sign up for Garden Walk Buffalo.

Hamburg Garden Walk: vendors & gardeners

The Hamburg Garden Walk is looking for gardeners to show their gardens on the walk and for vendors to participate in the garden fair. You can also place an ad in their garden map and guide book.

All gardens must be within the Village of Hamburg boundaries. The deadline to register your garden is Sunday, June 12. See the application form here.

The deadline to register as a vendor or to place an ad is Wednesday, June 15.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 9 and 10. Visitors will pick up maps at the Memorial Park Band Stand, corner of Lake and Union Streets, Hamburg.

Memorial Park will be the site of the garden fair, where people can buy garden-related items and talk to gardening professionals.

Lancaster Garden Walk: gardeners

June 2 is the deadline to sign up your garden to be on the Lancaster Garden Walk. You can get an application here.

The Lancaster Garden Walk will be held from 8:45 p.m. – 10:45 p.m. Friday, July 15 and from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17.

There will be a night showing of approximately 10 gardens on Friday, July 15. On Saturday and Sunday, July 16-17, weather permitting, some gardens will host local artists displaying and selling art as well as working on new pieces.

The tour is free and self-guided. Maps for the event can be picked up at Two Chicks and a Rooster, 732 Aurora St.; Petals to Please, 5870 Broadway, and Simply Italiano, 85 Central Ave., Lancaster.

 

Ken-Ten Garden Tour: gardeners

The Ken-Ton Garden Tour is now accepting applications for this year’s tour.

Applications must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, June 3. Late applications will not be accepted. The application fee is $8 and covers the cost of the lawn sign.

The Ken-Ton Garden Tour will take place from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24. The walk will also feature the Night Lights Evening Tour from 8:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23.

Maps for the event can be picked up at the Aquatic and Fitness Center, 1 Pool Plaza, Tonawanda.

The tour is free and self-guided.

The tour will feature more than 50 different gardens with many water features and great landscapes.
