Make something to decorate your home for the holidays or to give as a gift in workshops to be held Saturday, Dec. 5 at Mischler’s Florist and Greenhouses, 118 South Forest Rd., Williamsville.
Holiday mini-garden workshops
Bring a smile to the face of a grandparent, teacher, or special friend with a beautiful living gift created by your hand in a holiday mini-garden workshop.
Workshops will be held at 10 a.m. and again at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5. Each workshop will last approximately two hours.
Using plants, fairy garden accessories and containers available in the garden center, the staff will help you design and plant a unique indoor table top garden for yourself or to give as a unique gift for a family member or friend.
The first half of each workshop will consist of an explanation and demonstration by Mischler’s creative staff. The second half of the workshop will be a hands-on experience as Mischler’s staff assists you with planting your own miniature holiday garden.
The fee of $30 is due when you register. The fee includes the container, potting mix, plants and a holiday figurine. In addition, Mischler’s will offer workshop participants a 10 percent discount on items purchased from their Fairy Nook anytime before and including the day of the workshop.

Wreath decorating workshop
Learn how to decorate your very own fresh wreath for the holidays.
Workshops will be held at 11 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.
Each workshop will begin with a brief explanation and decorating demonstration by a member of Mischler’s staff. Afterward, you will be given a fresh, 24-inch evergreen wreath and red bow and shown a selection of trims from which you can choose. Additional trims will be available for purchase.
The workshop fee is $30, due the day of the event. Each class will be limited to 15 participants and reservations are necessary by calling Mischler’s at 632-1290.
