The names were drawn at random on Wednesday. Everyone who was subscribed to Buffalo-NiagaraGardening.com by March 31 was entered into the drawing. I’m happy to have so many new subscribers, and I love my loyal readers, too!

Each winner receives all of these prizes:
- A one-year family membership to the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. If you are already a Botanical Gardens member, your membership will be renewed. (Check out all their upcoming events.)
- A lovely gift basket for the gardener and a $20 gift certificate from Mischler’s Florist and Greenhouses, 118 South Forest Rd., Williamsville. (Don’t miss their yearly 49-cent perennial sale, which starts April 24.)
This great gift basket for the gardener is from Mischler’s Florist and Greenhouses in Williamsville. Photo by Connie Oswald Stofko - A signed copy of the book Great Garden Companions by local gardening expert Sally Cunningham. Her book will show you how planting special combinations of vegetables, flowers, and herbs can minimize pest and disease problems and create a high-yielding, beautiful garden. You’ll also receive a $30 gift certificate from Lockwood’s Greenhouses, 4484 Clark St., Hamburg. (Check out their classes and events, too.)
- A wonderful gift basket from Goodman’s Farm Market, 2227 Cayuga Dr. Ext., Niagara Falls. It includes sweet treats for humans as well as a bird feeder and food for our feathered friends. (They carry plants as well as local produce and gift items.)
I want to extend a final thank you to these businesses for supplying the prizes.
