Back again this year is a popular hands-on workshop where you can let your creative juices flow and decorate a fresh wreath for the holidays.
Workshops will be held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 at Mischler’s Florist and Greenhouses, 118 South Forest Rd., Williamsville.
Each workshop will begin with a brief explanation and decorating demonstration by a member of Mischler’s staff. Afterward, you will be given a fresh, 24-inch evergreen wreath and red bow. You will be shown a selection of trims from which you can choose. Additional trims will be available for purchase.
The workshop fee is $30, due the day of the event.
Reservations are necessary. Call Mischler’s at 632-1290.
Each class is limited to 15 participants, so make your reservations soon so you don’t miss out.
You can also take your holiday photo against a backdrop of fresh poinsettias at Mischler’s from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 as part of Williamsville’s Holiday in the Village.
This photo opportunity is free. Bring your own camera and round up your family and friends– your pet is welcome, too– for a photo you can post on Facebook, make into a greeting card or print out for your relatives.
While you’re there, you can pick up new items to decorate your fairy garden for the holidays: toboggans, peppermint candy love seats, tiny cups of cocoa, sleds and reindeer as well as Christmas fairies, snowmen and Santas.
Poinsettias and floral arrangements make great gifts, or choose a gift certificate that a gardener can use next spring.
