The organizers of Open Gardens for the National Garden Festival are looking for gardeners in Cheektowaga and South Buffalo to participate in 2015.
During Open Gardens, the public can visit the gardens on Thursdays and/or Fridays from July 9-31, 2015.
The gardens are clustered geographically, and the days and times that the gardens are open will depend on the cluster.
The time blocks are from 10 a.m. to to 2 p.m., 2 to 6 p.m. and 5 to 8:30 p.m. Gardeners are encouraged to be home at the time of Open Gardens so they can answer questions from visitors.
The gardens chosen for Open Gardens should be worthy of a 30-minute drive and a 30-minute visit, according to the organizers. Gardeners will need to send pictures and a description of the garden.
The deadline to apply to participate is Dec. 1.
If you’re interested in sharing your garden on Open Gardens or if you just want more information, contact Margaret at 337-2037 or Richard at 686-9476.
I love your photo. Nice angle from which to take it.
