We’re the proud sponsor of Gardeners Night!
by Connie Oswald Stofko
The theme for the Market at Graycliff this Thursday is Gardeners Day, and it’s sponsored by Buffalo-NiagaraGardening.com!
It takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at Graycliff, 6472 Old Lake Shore Rd., Derby. It’s free to attend.
The Market at Graycliff continues 5 to 8 p.m. Thursdays through Aug. 29.
The Market is a producer-only market, meaning that the re-selling of items is not permitted. All products must be made by the vendors themselves. The Market at Graycliff supports local vendors who help build and strengthen local economies. All products sold at the Market must be produced within the eight counties of Western New York.

Talk to gardening professionals
On Gardeners Night, get gardening answers from David Clark and Nora Saintz, garden professionals.
David Clark, CNLP, is known to many Western New York gardeners for his horticulture classes and presentations. Clark wears many hats: educator, floral designer, writer and speaker. He holds a degree in floriculture from SUNY Cobleskill and has more than 30 years as a professional in horticulture. Last year he was honored as the Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional (CNLP) of the Year, a statewide award.
Nora Saintz, CNLP, is a member of the NYS Nursery and Landscape Association and has a certificate in landscape design from Cornell University. With almost two decades of experience in garden design, she has learned that each yard comes with its own set of quirks, and what works well in your neighbor’s yard may not be successful in yours. Her mission is to provide aspiring gardeners with the tools and guidance they need to plant with confidence.
Explore the gardens
Stroll through Graycliff’s gardens while they are in bloom. The property was designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright for Isabelle Martin, an avid lover of flowers. The gardens and grounds were detailed by landscape design architect Ellen Biddle Shipman, a pioneer in her field.
