My presentation on “45 Gardening Tips in 45 Minutes” and a plant exchange will be held at the meeting of the Cinderella Isle Garden Club at 7 p.m.Thursday, May 21 in Trinity United Methodist Church, 2100 Whitehaven Rd., Grand Island. (Go to the newer building behind the historic church.)
In my presentation, I’ll share some of the best tips I discovered as I interviewed home gardeners and gardening experts for the online gardening magazine for Western New York. I have to average one tip per minute, so it’s fun to see if I can squeeze them all in!
Like all events we post on Buffalo-NiagaraGardening.com, this is open to the public.
The club will also hold its annual plant exchange that day after the presentation. Each member will bring one perennial from their yard labeled with the growing conditions and name of plant, size and other information. In addition, they will be asked to purchase one additional plant, which could be another perennial or an unusual plant. Members will then exchange them among other members.
You don’t have to bring a plant; guests will receive a small perennial purchased from Mischler’s annual perennial sale.
The Cinderella Isle Club is looking for new members.
