Gardeners can sign up now to share their landscapes on garden walks in several areas. See details below.
Reminder: If you are organizing a garden walk or other event, please email the information to me at Connie@BuffaloNiagaraGardening.com.
Amherst Garden Walk combines with Williamsville
There may be more gardens to see this year on the Amherst Garden Walk now that it will encompass the Village of Williamsville as well. (The organizers of the Village of Williamsville Garden Walk stepped down and asked the Amherst Garden Walk to also cover the village.)
The Amherst Garden Walk will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 6 and 7.
To sign up, find the form here. Forms must be submitted no later than June 16.
Talk to your neighbors to join you in sharing their gardens on the walk.
For more information, contact Darryl Moden or Chuck Hidy at 716-839-0018.
North Tonawanda Garden Walk
The North Tonawanda Garden Walk will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 13 and 14.
To share your garden, fill out an application here. Gardeners have until June 5 to sign up.
The organizers do not judge spaces; gardens of all types are welcome. Gardeners are encouraged to get a neighbor to also sign up; gardens that are clustered together often receive more visitors.
It is free to participate.
For the second year, the North Tonawanda Garden Walk’s micro grant program will offer grants of $250. Get an application for a micro grant here. Grant applications are due by May 1.
The organizers are also looking for sponsors. Sponsorships start as low as $25 and help purchase signs and booklets as well as contribute toward the organization’s micro grant program.
Garden Walk Buffalo
Garden Walk Buffalo, America’s largest garden tour, will hold its 30th anniversary event from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28.
If you have a garden in the footprint of Garden Walk Buffalo, you’re welcome to participate.
There are no entry fees and no site visits or judging—all you have to do is be proud of your little spot of earth. It is the diversity that makes the event a success.
The deadline to share your garden is May 15. Register online here.
East Side Garden Walk
The East Side Garden Walk will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 20 and 21.
The deadline to share your garden is May 15. Register online here.
There is no charge to enter. If you have a garden in the footprint of East Side Garden Walk, you’re welcome to participate. There are no site visits and no judging. Gardens range from large to a few square feet.
Register your front and/or back and/or side; your upper porch (seen from the street), or your business storefront dolled up with plantings.
The East Side Garden Walk is more than a free self-guided garden tour. It’s a way for residents to take control of the narrative for their community. They share gardens, stories, and their spirit of perseverance with those from within and outside the neighborhoods. They use their love of gardening and community to create connections between gardeners, neighbors and visitors.

The Village of Hamburg will be hosting its garden walk July 13 & 14 this year. Sign-ups for gardeners are underway! Plus we’ll be having our garden fair at Memorial Park both days.
Hi Gloria. The Snyder-CleveHill Garden View covers part of Cheektowaga. If you live in another part of Cheektowaga, maybe you could start a garden walk in your area.
Is Cheektowaga doing anything?
