Master Gardeners in Erie County to hold Ed Day on March 7

The 2026 Education Day will be held by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County Master Gardener Program.

It will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 7 at Classics V Banquet Center, 2425 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst.

The event includes a continental breakfast and a hot lunch buffet.

Topics and speakers will be:

  • Understanding Cultivars, Nativars, and Native Species Dan Segal, Plantsman Nursery and Greenhouse
  • Flowers in Your Landscape Nell Gardner, Flower Fields
  • The Good, Better, Best Approaches to Urban Green Space Management Carl Schimenti, Cornell University

The price is $65 for the public and $55 for out-of-county Master Gardeners. Register here.

Space is limited; advance registration is required. Registration is not complete until payment has been received. The registration fee is non-refundable.

  1. MG Education Day is not to be missed. Besides being fun to be in a group of like minded gardeners I always get lots of good ideas. Really gets you in the mood for spring.
