The Butterfly Experience will be home to hundreds of live butterflies from May 16 to July 19 at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. It’s included with admission! WNY Land Conservancy: volunteer for tree planting

The Western New York Land Conservancy will hold a tree planting party at their newly protected Black Creek Preserve in Birdsall, Allegany County. Volunteers will help plant 75 native trees along Black Creek to improve wildlife habitat, stabilize streambanks, and protect water quality. Black Creek Preserve Birdsall
Join a planting party with WNY Land Conservancy at the newly protected Black Creek Preserve in Birdsall. It will take place from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6. Volunteers will help plant 75 native trees along Black Creek to improve wildlife habitat, stabilize streambanks, and protect water quality. Participants will also help dig holes, install deer fencing and posts, and haul water and mulch to give the young trees the best chance to thrive. Registration is required; register here....
