From stewarding trees and improving parks to fighting blight and growing gardens, there are lots of ways to make a positive impact in your community. Orchid Repotting at the Gardens

The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, in partnership with the Niagara Frontier Orchid Society will be offering an orchid repotting event. Bring your orchid and the experts will help repot your plant and give you lots of great advice on how to care for the orchid. There will be growing medium and varied sized pots for sale. Prices will vary but will start around $20 (this includes a new pot, growing medium and orchid repotting by an expert). All proceeds benefit the Niagara Frontier Orchid Society.  The Orchid Repotting Event will take place in the

Reinstein Woods walk: April winds

Though March is supposedly the windiest month, April isn’t far behind. We will use a homemade wind instrument to measure what’s blowing. We can look for some of the effects of wind in the woods and check out avian arrivals as the “snowbirds” return.  No registration required.
