DESCRIPTION:Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cattaraugus County and Cattaraugus Soil and Water Conservation District invite you to discover the many benefits of installing a rain barrel on your property at this hands-on workshop led by CCE Cattaraugus Climate Stewards and Cattaraugus Soil and Water. This interactive event gives you the opportunity to learn about water conservation and stormwater management—while building your very own rain barrel to take home. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re looking to conserve water\, reduce stormwater runoff\, or provide a sustainable source of water for your lawn and garden\, a rain barrel can make a meaningful difference. \n\n\n\nDuring the workshop\, participants will: \n\n\n\n\nConstruct their own rain barrel\n\n\n\nLearn about stormwater management and best practices for homeowners\n\n\n\nExplore the anatomy of a rain barrel\n\n\n\nReview maintenance tips\n\n\n\nReceive guidance on properly connecting a barrel to a downspout\n\n\n\n\nDon’t miss this opportunity to embrace sustainability and enhance your property’s environmental impact.
