The World On Your Plate Conference on Food & Sustainable Living will take place 7 – 9:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9 and 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10 at Daemen College, 4380 Main Street, Amherst.
This 12th annual World On Your Plate conference will celebrate the International Year of Soil by featuring speakers–Jonathan Bloom, author of American Wasteland, on Friday evening and Rowen White from SeedSavers on Saturday–along with 20+ workshops, organic vegetarian lunch created from local CSA-donated veggies, a dance demonstration, vendors, and many resources on sustainable living.
Registration for the full conference is $25 for “early birds” and $30 at the door. This includes all speakers, comestibles, workshops, special events for Friday night and Saturday. Attendance for Friday night only is $10 (“early” or at the door). Students are free with ID and advance/early bird registration.
