Grassroots Gardens will hold several Safe Roots workshops for new immigrant and refugee gardeners. Topics will include safe growing practices and what produce grows well in Western New York. The workshops will be translated into Burmese, Nepali, Swahili, Karen and Arabic.

Help spread the word with anyone you know who might like to attend.

Dates and times are:

  • 4-6 p.m. Thursday, July 28 at International School 45, 141 Hoyt St., Buffalo
  • 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2  at Buffalo Public School 18, 125 Hampshire St, Buffalo
  • 3:30-5:30 p.m.Thursday, Aug. 11 at Lafayette High School, 370 Lafayette Avenue, Buffalo

A gardening guide is available in English and seven other languages.
