Audubon Center & Sanctuary
The Winter Lights show will take place 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. the weekends of December 10 – 12, 17 – 19, and 26 – 27 at the Audubon Center & Sanctuary, 1600 Riverside Rd., Jamestown.
For eight evenings, the Nature Center will be aglow with 14 lasers, over 10,000 LED lights, and computers running light activities, stations, and interactive lights that are the size of your thumb.
This year indoor activities will demonstrate the amazing technology behind the light show. Visitors will even get a chance to program one of the mini-computers that is attached to a light strip to see how they work.
Scouts learning about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) can earn a Winter Lights patch as they go through the show outside, then come in to discover how the technology powers it. A special offer will allow youth groups to come at the Friends of the Nature Center rate.
Dress in layers to be outside, but come inside and warm up afterward.
Admission to the Nature Center building and grounds is $10 regular price, $8 for Friends of the Nature Center, $8 for children 3-15 and free for children 2 & under. Reservations are not required.
