Niagara Escarpment Preserve
Take a guided walk in search of spring wildflowers through the Niagara Escarpment Preserve on Leete Rd. in Lockport from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. Saturday, April 30. Join Ed Fuchs, long-time member and past president of the Niagara Frontier Botanical Society, and Erin Redding, an environmental scientist with Gomez and Sullivan Engineers, who will lead the wildflower hike. This event is being hosted by the Western New York Land Conservancy.
Located on the Niagara Escarpment, the 36-acre property is part of the unique geological formation and home to woodland plants that are found at few other places in such high diversity and numbers.
