Earth Spirit Educational Services will conduct a wild edible hike followed by a four-course harvest dinner from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5 at Buffalo Ski Club’s Tamarack Lodge, 7414 State Road (Rte. 240), Colden, just outside West Falls.
This event will begin with an introduction to foraging skills focusing on wild edible plants found in field, forest and wetland environments. Following the hike, a four-course harvest dinner will be served to include both wild and organically grown seasonal foods. The meal will be prepared by Earth Spirit’s co-director and former chef, Scott Lembitz.
Program fees are $60.00 for Earth Spirit members and $70.00 for non-members. Pre-registration is required and can be done online or by phoning 716-941-6267.
This program is restricted to persons 14 and older.
