The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens is offering Watercolor V – Aquabord Creations from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays on September 29, October 6, 13, 20, 27, November 3.
The classes will be held online.
The fee is $117 per series for the public and $105.30 per series for Botanical Gardens members.
Aquabord is an amazing watercolor surface. It is a clayboard textured surface that gives you control of your watercolors and results in brilliant, luminous color. You can glaze and lift layers to the colors underneath or back to the white of the board. The watercolors can be sealed and framed without glass. To begin, the class will be experimenting with versatile surface. Then the class will move on to painting a luminous sunset reflecting in water while learning new techniques to give the best results on this exciting surface.
