The “Waves of Paradise” series will be held from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 21, 28 and November 4.
The cost is $78 per series for the general public and $70.20 per series for members of the Botanical Gardens.
Learn how to create crashing waves in watercolor. This is a very exciting class to help you loosen up your watercolor techniques and show your unique painting style.
Please review the supply list to purchase before the start of class.
431 – October 14 – Masking fluid is introduced and is splattered on your watercolor paper to start creating the splash of waves. Wet in wet painting is started as the underpainting.
432 – October 21 – The colors/anatomy of waves is introduced and we begin blocking in the colors. Glazing colors begins.
433 – October 28 – Glazing of watercolor continues as details of the wave are added.
434 – November 4 – Final glazing is added to the painting to give the painting depth. Masking fluid is removed, edges softened and paint is splattered to finish the final effect of the wave. Any remaining questions about individual paintings addressed.
