Watercolor IV: Warmer Days Ahead

The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens will hold Watercolor IV: Warmer Days Ahead from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 9, 16 and 23.

Classes will be offered via Zoom Meeting, a free online audio-visual platform.

The cost is $78 per series for the public and $70.20 per series for Botanical Gardens members.

This watercolor class will have everyone dreaming of warm nights sitting by a lake watching a warm, intense sunset. Students will learn how to create a gorgeous sunset reflected in the water and silhouette the surrounding trees and dock.

March 2 – Wet in wet techniques introduced to create the underpainting of colors in the sky and reflections in water.

March 9 – Glazing of watercolors begins to create depth in the painting.

March 16 – Reflections in the water are strengthened and details introduced. Silhouette painting will begin.

March 23 – Final details added to paintings. Remaining questions addressed.
