Watercolor IV: Nature’s Textures

The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens will hold Watercolor IV: Nature’s Textures  from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 20 and 27 and May 4.

Classes will be offered via Zoom Meeting, a free online audio-visual platform.

The cost is $78 per series for the public and $70.20 per series for Botanical Gardens members.

Explore how to create textures in from tree bark and leaves to different types of grasses. Apply those new skills to painting a trillium flower that has grown in the middle of a tree bark.

April 13 – Demonstration of painting textures and students will begin their trillium painting with first stages of underpainting.

April 20 – More textures are explored. Glazing layers are added to trillium painting.

April 27 – More textures are explored. Details of textures are begun on trillium painting.

May 4 – Final details are added to paintings. Remaining questions addressed.
