Volunteers needed to remove invasive plants in Wales

As part of Invasive Species Awareness Week, volunteers are needed to remove invasive plants in an event from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 13 at the Kenneglenn Nature Preserve, 11663 Old Strykersville Rd., (north of Hunters Creek County Park at the intersection of routes 20A and 78), Wales.

The Western New York Land Conservancy is partnering with the Western New York Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (PRISM) in this event.

Participants will be removing valerian and woody invasives like honeysuckle.

Please bring gloves if you have them. Tools will be supplied.

Lunch will be provided. Please alert the organizers to any special dietary needs when you register.
