Vegetable Gardening Tips and Techniques will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 25 at the Frank W. Bratt Agricultural Center, 3542 Turner Rd., Jamestown.
Are you interested in starting a garden to help provide food for your family or to sell at a small farm stand? Or are you a beginning gardener looking for some tips and tricks to make your efforts more fruitful?
Join Chautauqua County Master Gardener Jim Cowan, as he shares his 40-plus years of experience in starting and growing a garden. This workshop will cover planning a garden, site selection, soil preparation, gardening techniques, choosing varieties, managing weeds, pests and disease, and nutrient management.
The fee is $5 per person. Light refreshments will be offered.
Doors open 30 minutes before the start of the session. Please arrive early to complete your registration. Pre-registration is encouraged.
