Tree Workshop: Back to Basics: How Professionals and Beginners Do It

Workshops for professionals, municipal staff, foresters and community tree enthusiasts will be held on Friday, November 15 at Forest Lawn Cemetery Chapel Building, 1411 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo.

The morning session begins at 8:30 a.m. and will address “Street trees: Selecting the appropriate species and how to plant balled and burlapped, and bareroot trees” and “Pruning safety according to ANSI standards and outside largetree pruning demonstration.”

The afternoon session from 1 to 2:30 pm will discuss grant funds available through the Urban Forestry Grants program and “A community perspective: New York State DEC Urban Forestry Grant from application to execution.”

You can register for one or both sessions. Full Day (lunch included) is $35 per person or $25 for ReLeaf/Urban Forestry Council Members by Nov. 8 or $45 after that date. The afternoon session starting at 1 p.m. is $10 per person or free for ReLeaf/Urban Forestry Council Members.
