Join a field-based workshop at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Draves Arboretum, 1821 Sharrick Rd., Darien.
The workshop will cover topics including tree identification, disease diagnosis/mitigation, and choosing the right tree for the right site.
Everyone is welcome, but the event will be especially valuable to municipalities, arborists and landscape professionals.
Plan to spend three hours touring the grounds and be prepared for inclement weather. Masks and social distancing will be required.
The cost is $12 cash upon entry.
The limit is 30 attendees, registration in advance is required.
Draves Arboretum is a not-for-profit facility with a Level 3 ArbNet certification. Its approximately 20 acres holds over 800 species of woody trees and shrubs. The arboretum regularly offers trainings in all areas of arboriculture to municipalities, industry professionals, universities, and the community at large.
