Audubon Community Nature Center

The Audubon Community Nature Center will host a terrarium make-it-and-take-it workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 at the Community Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Road, Jamestown.

The cost is $10 for adults, $7.50 for nature center members and $7.50 for children ages 3 to 15. Children 2 and younger get in for free. Paid reservations are required by March 5 and can be made online.

Create a little touch of green by making a terrarium.

Directions, examples and basic terrarium building materials, including containers, soil and plants are provided. Participants are encouraged to bring additional decorations or supplies to aid in making their creation. This is an open-house style event.

This project is part of the Make-and-Take series at Audubon. In each program participants create a project to take home, often using natural or recycled materials, with the goal of helping build and nurture a connection to nature. These self-guided projects are designed to provide enough guidance to get participants started but also enough space to allow creativity to flourish. All ages are welcome to join in this community of creators, though small children may need assistance.
