SKYWARNa nationwide program of spotters that report severe weather to the National Weather Service, is holding training sessions in Western New York for volunteer spotters. 

Details are:

  • 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 13 in Concord Town Hall, 86 Franklin St., Springville.
  • 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 20 at the City of Tonawanda Offices, 200 Niagara St., City of Tonawanda.
  • 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 25 UPMC Chautauqua Hospital, 207 Foot Ave., Jamestown.

Anyone can become a SKYWARN spotter for the National Weather Service. All you have to do is attend one of the spotter training sessions. The training is free.
