Field sketching is a great way to become a better observer of nature. You don’t have to be an artist to learn how to record your observations of flora and fauna with quick drawings. Join Master Naturalist Chris Kieber on an adventure in the outdoors to explore this non-technical approach to art.
For bird lovers, this is a particularly good method to help learn and identify bird species. Participants start by creating their own personalized sketch book to take with them as the group ventures forth to sketch in the field and forest surrounding the Nature Center.
Come dressed for the weather and bring a lunch to enjoy during your time outside. A limited number of binoculars are available and participants are encouraged to bring their own.
This activity is for age 14 to adult.
The fee is $25 for non-members and $21 for members.
