The Massachusetts Avenue Project will hold their Annual Seedling Sale Thursdays and Saturdays through May at 271 Grant St., Buffalo. Times are listed below.
This year the focus is on a variety of tomatoes including Hartman’s Yellow Gooseberry, Green Zebra, Speckled Roman, Cherry Roma, and Ukrainian Purple.
There will also be peppers, Florida High Bush Eggplant, Sugar Baby Watermelon, and herbs including Eleonora Basil and Gorizia Rosemary.
On May 13, the Massachusetts Avenue Project will celebrate moms. For $15, you will receive a MAP mug and a seedling, all dressed up with ribbon and ready to be given.
Dates and times for the sale are as follows:
Saturdays 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
May 13 (Mother’s Day special), May 20, May 27
Thursdays 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
May 18 and 25
All seedlings are $3-$5 and proceeds support MAP’s work with youth development on the West Side of Buffalo.
