‘Seed to Supper’ classes in Jamestown

“Seed to Supper,” a free gardening course for beginner gardeners on a budget, will be held by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County Master Gardener Program.

Five classes will be held 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays from May 12 to June 9 at the Carnahan Center at Jamestown Community College, 525 Falconer St., Jamestown. Participants should plan to attend all five classes.

The class will cover basic gardening techniques including preparing and checking garden soil, container gardening, planning for gardening space, planting seeds or plants in the ground, and general care of gardens.

The class is open to adult participants, with limited seating.  A small snack will be provided during class time.
