World on Your Plate will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5 and 6 at in the Wick Student Center, Daemen College, 4380 Main St., Amherst.
The event includes speakers, workshops, music, vendors and vegetarian food that was locally grown. There will also be a seed exchange for heirloom or non-hybrid seeds.
The featured speakers will be Sarah van Gelder, author & co-founder of YES Magazine, and Jacqui Patterson, director of the NAACP Environmental and Climate Justice Program.
Tickets are $10 – $35 (students pre-registered & with ID are free). Tickets include all meals and activities. Financial assistance is available.
