If you enjoyed the Secret Gardens Tour, then this event is for you. Kay and Gary Johnson have invited the Community Nature Center into their extraordinary garden for lunch and a tour. The Johnsons have created a very large, wildlife-friendly habitat that includes a glacial rock fountain, pond and acres of gardens that blend into fields and forest.
Kay’s bluebird boxes will be alive with activity, and she will share why some models work better than others. Bird watchers should also be able to spot nesting tree swallows. The brush piles the Johnsons create to assist wintering wildlife would make Andy Goldsworthy proud, and they also protect wildlife by maintaining “catteries” for the many strays that come their way.
An exact address will be sent via email to those who register.
