NOTE: This class is full, but another class will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 11 at at Lockwood’s Greenhouses, 4484 Clark St., Hamburg.


A pruning class will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28 at Lockwood’s Greenhouses, 4484 Clark St., Hamburg.

The class will be taught by Ken Brown and Sally Cunningham. Brown, of Field of Dreams Farms, has raised Christmas trees and specimen conifers, is a past Cooperative Extension agent, landscape consultant, and WBEN radio’s garden expert for decades. Cunningham, a certified nursery and landscape professional (CNLP), is Lockwood’s education director and consultant.

They will teach a pruning seminar to help you maintain optimal beauty and health and correct problems for your flowering shrubs, evergreens, and small yard trees.  There will be a refreshment break.

The fee is $15 for a one-person household and $20 per two-person household.Please pre-pay and register via 649-4684 or online.

Now is the time to prune; May and June is late to prune many landscape plants.
