Science Center at Jamestown Community College

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County Master Gardeners will hold their Annual Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 4 in the Science Center Building toward the rear of campus at Jamestown Community College. The GPS address is 241 James Ave., Jamestown.

Offered for sale will be annuals, perennials, vegetable starts, a few small shrubs, houseplants, gardening supplies and re-cycled gardening reference books.

Plants will be repotted or sold bare root following protocols to prevent the spread of the invasive jumping worm.

Many items are from local gardeners and Master Gardeners’ collections. Many of the plants for sale are native plants, which makes it easy to grow in our local climate.

Plants will be priced from $3 to $10 dollars depending on plant size. Other items will be sold at noted prices. Please note this is a cash sale only.

The proceeds from the sale are the primary funding for the Master Gardener Program. Donations and support were provided to the sale by the Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District.

Garden advice and pH soil testing will also be provided. Please take a small dry sample of your garden soil to be tested.
