Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve and Environmental Education Center

At Reinstein Woods Environmental Education Center, our primary concern is the safety and health of our visitors, volunteers and staff.

To limit the potential spread of the Coronavirus, the Education Center and bathroom building are closed until further notice; feel free to check back here routinely for updates. If you need to contact us, please leave a message at 716-683-5959, or email

All publicly scheduled events are canceled until further notice. Check the Reinstein Woods webpage for building and program updates.

Our grounds and trails will remain open daily from sunrise to sunset, and we invite you to enjoy being outside as you watch spring unfold. With 3.5 miles of trails and 292 acres of forests, ponds and wetlands, we offer the perfect location to practice “social distancing” (6′ apart) as you enjoy nature. You can greet other visitors with jazz hands and a smile.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
