The first session, Introduction to Wild Plant Foraging, will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23 at West Falls Park. This outing covers the topic of field herbalism where participants will learn the basics of plant identification and ethical wildcrafting.

Part two, Introduction to Wild Plant Preparation, will be held at 1 p.m. the Roycroft Power House the following Saturday, April 30. This hands-on workshop will share concepts involved in the preparation of wild plants for food and health.

The fee for this 2-part, adults only course is $40 and advance registration is required through the Roycroft Campus online or by phone at 716-655-0261.

The Arts & Crafts Movement of the early 1900s was founded in a return to nature, simplicity and self-sufficiency. These sessions will serve to revive the spirit of Elbert Hubbard and the Roycrofters of that era.
