The Orchard Park Garden Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 5 at the Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, 4369 S. Buffalo St., Orchard Park.
Sign-ups begin at 11:30, with refreshments at noon and the program at 12:30 p.m.
The Program will be Floriography – The Secret Language of Flowers.  Kristy Schmitt, director of Education at Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, will present a PowerPoint lecture presentation the origins of the flower code, fads and the current use of flower language in the floral industry and everyday life. She will also discuss some of the meanings of certain plants and a few lucky members will have the opportunity to create a small floral arrangement after the talk.
